Microsoft Teams - Overview
Getting Started: Creating Microsoft Teams Webhook
Login to your Microsoft Power Automate account.
Create a New Flow
Navigate to Menu > Create.
Search for the template named ‘channel' and select the ‘Send webhook alerts to a channel’ option.
Edit the Flow
Click on Edit in the advanced flow options.
Modify the Flow
Remove the Adaptive Card Step
Locate the step involving the Adaptive Card and delete it by tapping on the card option and then clicking the three-dot action menu in the top right
Tap on the OK to confirm deletion
Add a New Action by tapping the + sign and searching for ‘post message’ and choosing the Microsoft Teams option for ‘Post message in a chat or channel’ as shown here:
Configure the New Action
Set Post As: User
Set Post In: (Select the Channel you want)
Set your Team: (Select the appropriate team)
Set your Channel: (Select the appropriate channel)
Add Message Content:
In the message body, insert the following functions. You must enter a forward slash ( / ) first and select Insert expression.
Copy and past the two statements below; each must be done separately.
triggerBody()?['Title']
triggerBody()?['Text']
Click Add after inserting each function, one at a time.
Save the Workflow
After configuring all parameters, click Save to save the workflow.
Copy the Webhook URL
Go to the first step of the flow and copy the generated URL.
Save the workflow to finalize the setup.
Workflow Ready
Your workflow is now ready to use. You can send a webhook request to the copied URL to post messages to the specified Microsoft Teams channel.
Microsoft Teams Setup in ConnectSecure
Login to ConnectSecure and navigate to Global > Integrations > MSTeams
Credentials
Tap on the ( + ) to add a new set of creds
Complete the required fields:
Tap Save to complete.
Event Set
Configure any desired Event Sets (Alerts); see our Event Sets for Integration Alertingpage for more details.
Integration Rules
This is where you associate a name to the Event Set for the alerting to take place; we typically use parity here and match up the Name to the Event Sets so you can easily identify them.
Company Mapping
Map companies between ConnectSecure and the Integration Rules, to trigger MSTeams alerts.
Tap on the Add button
Select your Local (ConnectSecure) company
Select the Integration Rule(s) that you wish to apply to the company. You can set one, or multiples, using the check boxes.
Lastly, check the box for ‘Create MSTeams Alert’ to enable the webhook alerting.
Tap ADD then Finish to complete.
To make changes, you can tap the three-dot Action menu, then Edit, or Delete.
There is also an option to ‘Copy Settings’ which allows you to copy the Integration Rules selections to other companies.
